5 Ways A Green Quilt Doesn’t Work

29th May 2011

As a Floatation Device

A green quilt does not float. If you throw it in water, it may stick around on the surface for a bit, the instant you try and use it to help you float in water it’ll reveal its true nature! That thing will sink as fast as you do.

If you’re going under, the quilt is coming with you.

As a Jump Ramp for Stunt Bikes

While motor bike stunts are awe-inspiring, the visits to the hospitals are less so. Unless you really have a thing for traction wards, do not use a quilt as a ramp for your next motorbike stunt.

As Protection Against A Hurricane

This really needs no real explination. However if you do think that a green quilt could be used as protection against a hurricane… maybe you should try, the human species will be stronger due to it.

As a Flying Carpet

It doesn’t work. This could save you the embarrassment of standing on a quilt and commanding it to fly, especially in front of your friends or coworkers.

Second, this is a quilt not a carpet. Also, while these sorts of quilts might seem enchanting, its not the same kind of magic that the flying carpets have so , sorry to disappoint you there.

As a Alternative for The Roof on Your House

So the roof on your abode is looking a little shabby and could use replacing. Well if you’re thinking about replacing it with a green quilt, you can forget that right now. Besides not meeting any building codes, it will also attract mold and turn out to be quite innefective at keeping water out.

While it might have worked on the pillow fort you built in the lounge room, this does not translate well to the outside environment.

If none of these tips have applied to you – congratulations, you’ve a good head on your shoulders but sometimes folks simply need to be told. If you have read this and are still going to push on with it, let me be the first to say “I told you so!”
