Change your charm beads with the change in seasons

18th Oct 2010

Charm beads come in all different styles, shapes and more significantly color. Colour is a very personal preference and also is affected by what is in fashion e.g. the new black! Charm beads lend themselves extremely well to many different colours so we can choose which charm beads we like based on colour.

When deciding what colours we want to put on our charm bracelet it is essential you take note of a few things  :

  • What colours we prefer?    It’s always good to choose charm beads based on the colours which you actually prefer
  •  Do you know what you will be wearing with the charm beads?   We want the charm bracelet to be set off and not contrast too heavily.
  • What colours are currently in fashion?   Make sure you aren’t wearing last year’s colours!

Due to charm beads having such a wide variety of styles and designs  we can have a range of bracelets to suit the season we are in  . This is a actually handy as it allows us to select various charm beads   that can be re-used for many different outfits and designs.

Sticking with elementary colored charm beads is an excellent idea . Not only are they very common but they will match more of our clothing than going for more obscure colours. We have nothing against obscure colours it’s just if you are on a budget primary colours are a better purchase .

I organise my charm beads into colours when they are not on my bracelet  allowing me to visualise how they would appear.  If you are unsure of what colours match, let’s face it we can’t all be great artists, then it may be worth looking at a colour wheel. They can provide help when you struggle for a colour to go with your latest outfit.

Using charm spacers to go in-between your colourful charm beads is an excellent way to space out the colour and not over-do it . Sometimes when creating a charm bracelet less colour can truly be more. So try spacing your coloured charm beads with a charm spacer and  see how it works out.
