scrapbooking
Have you been meaning to start or finish a high school scrapbook? If you have, there’s an even chance you have encountered one of the numerous problems that plague scrappers when undertaking one of those.
The great news is it doesn’t have to be difficult to overcome these issues and complete your album!
I have listed the most frequent issues scrappers encounter when putting together their school scrapbook :
I don’t know where to start!
I hear this a lot and its straightforward to understand why. School was a big part of your childhood. Probabilities are many of your present pals today were made in school. And with it spanning over a number of years, there are a LOT of memories you are going to need to capture in the one book.
I find its easier to split the book up into three sections – the years when you started, your middle school years and then your last years – finishing with your graduation!
This makes it a natural progression that’s easy to follow and organize.
I have thrown out all my old school stuff!
This might appear like a real issue at the start , but trust me it isn’t as big as it appears.
There are two straightforward, and quick things you can do to get your hands on some of your old school material.
First off most colleges have copies of their year level photos. A good number of these have digital/scanned in copies. You ought to be able to get in contact with your old school and get copies of these – there may be a little fee for this.
Get onto the Web – if you have a Facebook account, you ought to be capable of finding some of your former school mates. Get in contact with them and ask if they have any of the old school stuff they don’t want or use any more. I was able to get some nice stuff this way.
Finally, pay a visit to your former school. Tell them what you are up to and ask them if there are any materials they can part with. Class diaries, school newsletters and even a detention forms can truly add some real spice to your next school scrapbook.
That is all for this time, remember keep an open mind when making your school scrapbook and you will be able to overcome any problem!
Keep an eye open for part two!
