The first thing that you have to do is, of course, to gather all the ingredients that you need. It is recommended that you purchase your materials and fragrances directly from an organic health center so that you can be sure that what you are buying is one hundred percent organic. You will have to prepare an organic soap base, in addition to your choice of organic essential oils and fragrances.

The most common organic ingredients that you may find in an organic soap include the following: organic aloe, organic oats, organic peppermint, and organic prickly pear cactus. On the other hand, the most common natural ingredients that you may find in organic soap include cinnamon, olive oil, goat’s milk, wild carrot, sea salt, essential oils, sunflower seeds, sunflower petals, wild horsemint, wild yucca root, Moroccan red clay, and unrefined African shea butter.

You will also have to equip yourself with soap molds. You can find ordinary rectangular ones or other more creative ones in the market. Once you have everything you need, you can be on your way to making your organic soap.

Organic soap making is similar to regular soap making in that it involves pouring soap base into a boiler or crock pot, and letting it melt over indirect heat. Once the soap base has melted, you can then mix in your organic oils and fragrances. The next step would be to pour the melted soap mix into your choice of soap molds and to let them sit and cool for about twenty-four hours.

The chemicals used to make and enhance commercial soaps dry and damage the skin. This is why organic soap making is such a hit.
