SMALL SANTA STOCKINGS

Using size 9 needles and white feather wool cast on 24 stitches
Work 4 rows in garter stitch (knit)
Change to red wool
Work 17 rows in stocking stitch
Next Row – K 16, turn, P 8, turn and work 10 rows in stocking stitch on these 8 stitches.
Break off yarn
With right side of work facing, join yarn to stitches left on right hand needle

and knit up 6 stitches evenly along side of instep, knit across 8 instep stitches, knit up evenly along other side of instep.
Knit to end (36 stitches)
Work 5 rows in stocking stitch
Next Row – K 2 together, K 12, K 2 together, K 4, K 2 together, K 12, K 2 together (32 stitches)
Next Row – Purl
Cast Off
