Make every day a scrapbooking adventure

10th Jan 2012

scrapbooking

I scrapbook pretty much every day. And I scrapbook the everyday. So I try to turn the everyday into a scrapbooking adventure. This video highlights five things that keep me on that path – and I hope they can spread some adventure into your everyday too. Find me online at www.shimelle.com. (Or subscribe here on Youtube for more scrapbooking videos.) *Thanks!* Find the corresponding guest post on Ali Edwards’ blog aliedwards.com Music credit: Windswept by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 (creativecommons.org

I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed this video and the way you made me think and realize not to ignore the everyday and open my mind!! It really was an aha moment for me! Also for some reason I don’t tell others that I’m a scrapbooker? because people that don’t scrapbook don’t get it – I tell them I do photography (which I do and love but its the two together that make me so so happy) I feel as though I’m keeping some deep dark secret that I have to hide because the way people view it? Thanks

@shimellelaine It’s an ongoing process – collecting, isn’t it :) I must have still been thinking about it today…as I suddenly remembered a sauce boat in that design…which led to me thinking about the embroidered tablecloth…and so it? goes. Enjoy that pyrex! xx

A lovely video, thank you. The most startling thing? about your video for me is that the cup you used to mix your paints instantly catapulted me back to my childhood – we had crockery like that and I haven’t thought about it or seen it for years! x
