Just started two weeks ago and I’m almost finished my first scarf. It helps centre and calm me before and after work. Don’t know why? more people aren’t doing this. Btw, I’m a 42 yo guy.

Well, if I was a man and wanted a nice knitted sweater the way I liked it, I might think seriously about taking up knitting and designing them. It really isn’t? fair the way most of the patterns and books are all about women’s wear! And most women even if they try to knit for a man, knit stuff men don’t want to wear. So, go for it guys! Give us some competition!

Good for you guys!!! glad to see men that are not afraid to work a craft that “only ladies” do. Not a dying art after all. Makes my heart warm. My- ex was surprised? when he saw me hot wire my car (yes my car) before work while wearing a silk dress. My response was “who said only men can hot wire a car”, so if you can do it, by all means go for it.
i used to live in a textile producing area of? eastern europe… over there knitting is seen as a childrens thing, not a gender specific thing like it is over here….. yeah i remember having to knit socks, mittens and scarfs to selll as winter clothes… also all households had to produce a certain amount of wollen goods whether it was wool, yarn or articles of clothing… to me knitting reminds me of my childhood and my native country
