Other ingredients that can be added once this is done are lotions, dyes and fragrant oils so that your soap will have other special properties. Once you are satisfied with your mixture, this can then be poured into molds for them to cool.

Once your soap has hardened, you will still need to age it if you used the cold method. This will take around a month before you will be able to use them. As for soaps made through the hot process, your soap will be ready to use once it has completely cooled.

Soap making is very easy as it requires only a few ingredients and the steps are also very few. Children can even take this up as a hobby as long as there is adult supervision due to the dangers of using lye.
